HHS to Release $15 Billion in COVID-19 Relief Funds to Medicaid Providers – including HCBS providers!
Today, June 9, HHS   announced   the distribution of $15 billion from the Provider Relief Fund to Medicaid providers. These additional resources are critical for providers. We also know that more is still required to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. We’ll continue to advocate on your behalf for the funds and other resources you need.

Eligible providers include Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance (CHIP) providers that participate in state Medicaid and CHIP programs and have not previously received a payment from the Provider Relief Fund General Allocation.
A Message from the President & CEO Mark Parkinson
" WE WON’T BACK DOWN"
Our profession faces its greatest challenge in history. This isn’t like the usual fight we have in D.C. over a two percent increase or cut, or over some crazy regulation. Instead, this is a battle for the lives of our residents, our staff, and the very survival of our sector.

We didn’t cause the COVID-19 crisis, but we will be a large part of the solution.

Discontinue the use of N95 Vented Masks Immediately
In response to concerns received by the FDA, revisions have been made to the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to address sub-standard products to protect the public health and safety. Respirator models located at  https://www.fda.gov/media/137928/download  HAD BEEN on the list of authorized respirators but NO LONGER meet the EUA eligibility criteria and thus are no longer authorized. Respirators that ARE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED are listed at  https://www.fda.gov/media/136663/download  and include authorized, imported, non-NIOSH approved respirators made in China.

Relating to the Battelle Decontamination System, N95 respirators containing cellulose-based materials; respirators that have exhalation valves; and respirators that are authorized by the Non-NIOSH Approved Disposable Filtering Facepiece Respirators manufactured in China EUA are not compatible with the Battelle Decontamination System.  https://www.fda.gov/media/136529/download
