Reminder: Federal Accessibility Requirements for Medical Equipment

Recent updates to federal accessibility regulations introduce new requirements for medical diagnostic equipment (MDE), effective July 2026. These requirements may apply to certain physician practices and include accessibility considerations for items such as exam tables and weight scales.

Review Your Open Payments Data

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) maintains the Open Payments database, a public resource that tracks payments and transfers of value made by drug and medical device companies to physicians and other healthcare providers. This may include items such as meals, speaking fees, consulting payments, travel, research funding, and educational support.

KHF encourages providers to periodically review their information to ensure reported data is accurate and up to date. CMS offers providers the opportunity to review and dispute information submitted about them.

Financial Benchmarking Report Update

We know many participating practices are eager to receive their KHF Financial Benchmarking results, and we appreciate your patience.

We are experiencing a short delay as we train an additional team member on the data compilation process and incorporate feedback from the Practice Administrator Advisory Committee to help improve future reporting.
