AHIP Reaffirms Vaccine Coverage Commitment

AHIP has announced that its member health plans will continue covering recommended vaccines without patient cost-sharing through the end of 2027. The statement reinforces health plans’ commitment to maintaining affordable access to immunizations and supporting the health of individuals and communities.

Georgia DPH Shares Updated Measles Guidance

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) has shared updated guidance to help healthcare providers identify, isolate and report suspected measles cases.

Providers should not refer patients with suspected measles to an emergency department or another healthcare facility without contacting Public Health or the receiving facility first. When measles is suspected, contact Public Health immediately at 1-866-PUB-HLTH for assistance with screening, care coordination and testing guidance.

The update also addresses frequently asked questions about MMR vaccination, post-exposure prophylaxis and early vaccination during periods of increased measles activity.
