Understanding Pay Transparency

Pay transparency means sharing compensation information, typically by including pay ranges in job postings. According to the HR experts at OneDigital, this practice can help employers attract qualified applicants, streamline recruitment, support compliance with equal pay laws and build trust with employees.

Daytime Nurse Advice Survey Results

Thank you to the Practice Administrators who responded to the recent survey about providing daytime nurse advice to parents.

Of the 18 practices that responded, 17 reported offering nurse advice by phone or through a messaging portal during daytime hours. All 17 practices indicated that these calls and messages are handled by their own paid clinical staff rather than an outside service.

No outside daytime nurse advice services were identified through the survey.

COVID 19 Vaccine Shipment Update

KHF recently contacted Pfizer and Moderna regarding the availability of COVID-19 vaccines. Both manufacturers confirmed that vaccines for private and commercial customers are currently available and shipping on schedule.

COVID-19 vaccine shipments through the Vaccines for Children program are experiencing delays. KHF will share additional information as soon as an update is available from VFC.

McKesson Provides Bicillin Availability Update

McKesson has shared an update regarding the limited availability of Bicillin L-A:

Bicillin L-A 1.2 million units/2 mL: Currently out of stock. The manufacturer is releasing limited quantities weekly, and backorders are being filled in the order received.
Bicillin L-A 2.4 million units/4 mL: Listed as a non-stock item, with delivery typically taking two to four weeks. The manufacturer is also releasing limited quantities weekly.

McKesson currently lists the manufacturer's anticipated recovery timeframe as late 2027. Both products are non-returnable.
