Important Updates

For Physicians: Improve Preventative Care, Boost Immunization Rates, Earn MOC Credit*

 

We’re offering a free American Board of Pediatrics MOC Part 4 program worth 25 points to KHF physician members. This self-paced quality improvement project focuses on enhancing well-child visit rates and immunization coverage—while equipping you with proven strategies for discussing vaccines with families.

 

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Increase Well-Child Visit Rates: Implement strategies for timely preventive care.
  • Improve Immunization Rates: Develop interventions to raise coverage.

AAP Publishes Immunization Schedule*

 

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has released its own recommended immunization schedule, separate from the Department of Health and Human Services. You can read the full press release and access the schedule through this link.

Final Reminder: Children’s Brain Health Conference in September*


Join the Children’s Brain Health Conference, a two-day, in-person event focused on advancing knowledge and best practices in pediatric brain health.

 

For those in TCCN, attending this event will count toward the TCCN 2025 educational requirement that each practice have at least one provider participate in two educational events during the year.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Children's designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

*Please note for participating physicians, In order for Children’s to meet Stark Law regulatory requirements that allow Children’s to provide a limited amount of non-monetary compensation to physicians, we must note your participation in this CME activity at a value of $32 per credit hour plus the cost of food and beverage. After the registration fee, the amount applied to your non-monetary compensation allowance will be adjusted based on registration type. No action is required on your part and you will be notified if you are nearing the limit by the Medical Staff Services department. The total non-monetary compensation allowed for 2025 is $519.
