Measles Toolkit from AAP

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has developed a comprehensive Measles Toolkit designed to assist pediatric healthcare practices in promoting timely measles vaccinations and combating misinformation. This toolkit offers a variety of resources, including evidence-based guidelines, patient education materials, and strategies for effective communication with families. By utilizing these tools, practices can enhance their efforts to prevent measles outbreaks and ensure children receive critical immunizations on schedule.

APP Credentialing Update

On March 10, 2025, the Kids Health First (KHF) Board of Managers approved a policy requiring Advanced Practice Providers (APP’s) be board certified for KHF credentialing. This is effective immediately.

Requiring APP board certification aligns KHF with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and The Children’s Care Network (TCCN) credentialing requirements and makes KHF more stringent than NQCA, which only requires education verification.

In preparation for the policy change, KHF confirmed all APPs working at Network practices are board certified. We now track expiration dates and send reminders to Practice Administrators ahead of the renewal deadline as a courtesy. Upon renewal, practices need to send KHF a copy of the certificate with the new renewal date to credentialing@khfirst.com.

APP credentialing is optional at KHF. If you would like to credential your APP’s, please email credentialing@khfirst.com for an application.
