Guidance Regarding Employee Timesheets*

Question: If an employee hasn’t submitted their timesheet before we run payroll, can we delay paying them until they do?

Answered by the HR Experts at Vxtra

No, you shouldn’t wait to pay the employee. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, wages are due on the regular payday for the pay period covered, regardless of whether the employee met your deadline for submitting their timesheet. Ultimately, the responsibility to track and pay for all hours worked falls on you, not the employee. You should ask the employee how many hours they worked and pay them accordingly. If they’re unavailable to answer that question, you should take your best guess—corrections can be made later if necessary. View more insights from Vxtra in this article.

State Medicaid RFP Award MOU’s *

Statement from the Georgia Department of Community Health regarding a contract notice of intent to award announcement

TCCN has executed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the three new potential awardees: Humana, Molina, and United Healthcare.  If practices receive network recruitment requests from the potential awardees, please redirect them to TCCN.  It is TCCN’s intention to negotiate full agreements based on these MOUs and have contracts in place for the start of the new CMO agreements with the State of Georgia.

In the meantime, TCCN will continue to work with Amerigroup and Peach State, as the state has not yet announced a final award decision or a transition timeline.

HHS Vaccine Campaign*

LetsGetRealAboutVaccines.org, Immunize.org’s newest website, provides credible, plain-language information about routine pediatric vaccines. The Let’s Get Real campaign, created in 2024, was originally researched and reviewed by medical, public health, and communications experts at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies. The development team worked with parents and providers to find the right tone and focus on key issues. The HHS campaign ended in 2025. Immunize.org acquired the content to continue providing this clear and accurate information. View the website for more information to share among your practice and patients.
