Sample Vaccine Policy Language for Your Practice

SophistiPrax offers sample language practices can use to communicate their vaccine policies on their websites or in new-patient paperwork.

The resource addresses:

  • Support for childhood immunization in accordance with nationally recognized pediatric recommendations.
  • Individual evaluation of medical contraindications or temporary vaccine deferrals.
  • Counseling families who decline recommended vaccinations.
  • Appropriate notice, transition of care, and continued care obligations if the physician-patient relationship must end.

Practices should review the language with their attorney before use to ensure it reflects their policies and applicable obligations.

Georgia Voting Leave: What Practices Need to Know

With election season approaching, HR experts at Mineral offer a reminder about Georgia’s voting leave requirements. Employees who provide reasonable notice must be permitted necessary time off, up to two hours, to vote during advance in-person voting or on Election Day. This applies to elections and primaries for which the employee is qualified and registered to vote. Employers may specify when employees take voting leave.

Voting leave may be unpaid; however, salaried exempt employees generally cannot have their salaries reduced for this partial-day absence. Practices should review their policies and communicate the process for requesting voting leave to staff.
