Dear Kenston High School Parents,
As the leaves change and cooler weather sets in, October marks a season of reflection, growth, and renewed focus. It is an ideal time for students to pause, reassess their academic goals, and realign their efforts. With the semester's midpoint approaching, students are encouraged to evaluate their progress, identify areas for improvement, and take proactive steps forward. This includes seeking academic support when needed and communicating clearly and intentionally with their teachers to stay on track for success.
Thank you for staying connected with the monthly KHS Bomber Bulletin. For daily updates, be sure to check the Bomber Reminders announcements and Calendar links to stay informed.
If you have any questions, please contact Kenston High School at 440-543-9821.
Sincerely,
Tom Gabram
KHS Principal

No School - October 2
In Observance of Yom Kippur
| | |
Kenston Local Schools will be closed on Thursday, October 2, in observance of Yom Kippur. This closure allows families who celebrate this important Jewish holiday to come together and honor their traditions and customs
| | AP Scholars & Capstone Diplomas | |
We congratulate the 152 Kenston High School students who have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Program exams.
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school. Additionally, they can earn college credit, Advanced Placement credit, or both for achieving a successful performance on the AP exams. Each year, the AP program recognizes students who have performed exceptionally well on AP examinations.
| | International Day of Peace | |
Last Friday, KHS observed the International Day of Peace by sharing an announcement that explained the significance of the day and its importance. Students learned that International Peace Day is a global observance dedicated to promoting peace, kindness, and unity across all nations and communities. The message served as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a powerful impact on others.
This theme aligned perfectly with our ongoing activities for Starts with Hello Week, which supports The Sandy Hook Promise initiative aimed at reducing social isolation and fostering inclusion by encouraging students to make new connections.
| Bomber Athletes of the Week | | A separate email containing detailed information about both the 8th Grade Dance and the 9th–12th Grade Homecoming Dance will be sent next week. Please keep an eye on your inbox for this communication. | | |

Looking Ahead...
The October PEAK character trait is RESPECT... While defining respect may not always be consistent, there is one kid-friendly definition that is universal: treat others as you would like to be treated.
"Respect is caring or being kind to someone.
An example is if you are honest, you will be respected."
Leo Clemens, Class of 2034
