Masks Required at KJ Prayer Services

September 2021

Dear Members and Friends,
We are happy to announce that there will be prayer services this September 2021. However, we have to protect each other.

Please wear your mask at all times while at Kahal. Due to the current spike in Covid 19 cases, the mask mandate will be strictly enforced within the building. And, if you see something, please say something. To preserve the health of our community, help others adhere to the mask mandate.

The priority of Kahal Joseph has always been and is the wellbeing of our congregants.

Our prayers for everyone to stay healthy and safe.

Kahal Joseph Board of Directors

Condolences to the Family of Diana Solomon, z'l
With great sorrow we send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Diana Solomon, z''l, Dina bat Simha beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt. Diana passed away early on Shabbat morning, Saturday, September 4th 2021, the 27th of Elul 5781.
A third generation, longtime, devoted member of our community, Diana was very involved in Kahal Joseph and served as the Sisterhood's treasurer for many years. She conscientiously preserved and honored the remembrance of family and friends. Her grandmother, Khatoon Messiah, was a founding member of the congregation, and her mother, Sophie Solomon, contributed much time and effort to Kahal. Diana continued their tradition of commitment to community service.
Diana was born in Singapore in December of 1935. She later immigrated to Los Angeles. She is survived by: her brother, Rueben (Myrtle) Solomon; her nieces and nephew Tamara (Naftali) Levin, David (Michelle) Solomon, Kathy (Toby) Shabbot; her greatnieces and greatnephews; her extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 9th at Hillside Memorial Park. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Diana's loved ones. May they be comforted together with all the mourners of Tsion. Min hashamayim tenuhamu.
