Guest host Leslie Bohl focuses on a plan to move Edwards Aquifer water protection from city oversight to the San Antonio Water System. Mayor Ron Nirenberg explains why he thinks that will work, and SAWS President and CEO Robert Puente discusses what that could mean for SAWS customers. Express-News columnist Elaine Ayala and Express-News Business Editor Greg Jefferson continue the discussion of the SAWS plan, and elaborate on a controversy over San Antonio College's mascot.
Nearly 1.5 million people in the United States have Alzheimer’s - a diagnosis that is not only hard on the patient but devastating for the families. Researchers at The University of Texas Health San Antonio are looking into whether a computer platform using artificial intelligence, paired with a video of people’s gait, or walk, might diagnose the disease years earlier, bettering the chance for treatment.
San Antonio auto mogul Rick Cavender goes beyond the car business with his music. He’s crafted a song for St. Luke’s school, honoring not only the young students there but also the hard working teachers.
