This week, we’ve got terrific programs lined up that feature some familiar faces, as well as a couple of new additions.

 

Tuesday at 8PM, FRONTLINE returns with a look at the Federal Reserve’s impact on the American economy on Age of Easy Money. Thursday at 10PM, catch the series premiere of the newest PBS thriller What to Do When Someone Dies. Saturday at 6PM, KLRN welcomes the wacky antics of British comedy favorite Mr. Bean, followed by the series 20 premiere of Midsomer Murders at 8PM. And Sunday, don’t miss an evening of exciting new dramas beginning at 7PM with Call the Midwife (Season 12), Sanditon: The Final Season at 8PM and the series premiere of Marie Antoinette at 9PM.

In 1613, feudal lord Date Masamune sent a Japanese diplomatic mission to Europe to negotiate with the Pope and the King of Spain in hopes opening a new trade route. Led by samurai Hasekura Tsunenaga and Franciscan monk Luis Sotelo, the expedition spent seven years traveling one-third of the globe.
