This four-part docuseries from Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. examines African American migration from the South to the North, and the powerful influence it continues to have on American culture and society.

Last week, On The Record host Randy Beamer heard from James Nortey, CEO of San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside (SAGE) about a recently-awarded $2 million federal grant that seeks to reconnect the Eastside to downtown and spur economic development.
San Antonio landed a spot on MovieMaker Magazine's list of best places to live and work as a filmmaker. Krystal Jones, Director of the city's Arts & Culture Dept. shared the economic impact of the SA Film Commission. San Antonio Express-News reporter Sara DiNatale gave an update on proposed bills coming out of the Texas Legislature.
