Tonight at 8pm we bring you a special show that is near and dear to our hearts.

"What's the Story, Wishbone?" is a documentary that explores the creation and cultural impact of the beloved children's series that introduced a generation of viewers to classic literature through imaginative storytelling and a larger-than-life pup.

Featuring cast, creators, and behind-the-scenes tales, the program reveals how a small Texas production became one of the most memorable educational programs in public television history.

Stories like these remind us why public television is so important, and why we do what we do.

Your support allows KLRN to continue our work of providing lifelong learning to our community, just like the visionary producers who created Wishbone.

Whether you grew up with Wishbone or you're discovering him for the first time, we think you're going to love this show!

Were you a Wishbone fan growing up? Did your kids have a favorite episode or book? Hit reply and share your memories with us!

With gratitude,

Arthur Emerson

President & CEO

Here are a few of our picks this week that you don't want to miss:

Tonight at 8PM, don't miss the premiere of the new documentary What's The Story, Wishbone?. Go behind-the-scenes of the beloved PBS series that turned classic literature into adventure, starring one unforgettable little dog with a very big imagination. Through rare archival footage and new interviews with the cast, creators, and fans who grew up with the show, the film uncovers the unlikely, chaotic, and surprisingly heartfelt story of how a scrappy public-television production became a cultural touchstone for millions of kids.

Wednesday at 10:30PM, all aboard for the 30th Anniversary Special of Great Scenic Railway Journeys! Viewers gain access to some of America's best railway adventures, from the Rocky Mountaineer to the Skyrail. More than just a tour, these stories offer a glimpse into our nation’s railroad history and explore how railroads defined the spirit of North America, creating a new industry and rewriting the history of transportation.

Saturday at 8PM, don't miss a special presentation of Concert for George. Held at London's Royal Albert Hall, this tribute concert features George Harrison's songs and music he loved, performed by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Monty Python, Tom Petty, and many more. With songs that include "Here Comes the Sun,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Something," and many more.

Sunday at 7:30PM, Our Favorite Things About Grantchester, go behind the scenes with the cast and crew to unpack all the favorite moments from this MASTERPIECE series. Exclusive interviews, rare behind-the-scenes footage, and video clips spanning 10 seasons reveal how this uniquely British crime drama about faith, justice, and the power of friendship became such an enduring hit with viewers.
