The mission of KLRN is to open a world of lifelong learning through trustworthy and enriching programs on-air, online and in our community.
Dear Educators,

Thank you for your dedication, kindness, and generosity. Every day, you are setting the example of how to treat others. The world is so much nicer when people treat each other with compassion. In this video from American Portrait, hear Megan C’s story of how her community’s kindness and generosity during the early part of the pandemic touched her life:

Though it can be hard to see sometimes, there is kindness and goodness in the world. So much of showing compassion and helping others is inherent to doing what is right. Chiune Sugihara said "In life, do what's right because it's right, and leave it alone." Mr. Rogers reminded us of his mother’s wise advice: “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” Generosity can come in many forms and it shows a desire and willingness to share what we have with others. Here are some more examples of kindness and generosity in action: Kids Care and Power Up with Problem Solving and Service: Girl Power!

In a lovely quote from the description of positiveexposure.org on PBS Learning Media: Move to Include, “All people are valuable and positive parts of society, and Positive Exposure works with individuals to display their beauty and empower people living with difference – and to educate the world around them”

Keep being you, keep being kind, and keep exemplifying generosity through what you do. So many around you appreciate it, and it makes a positive impact on the rest of the world.

With Appreciation,
