The mission of KLRN is to open a world of lifelong learning through trustworthy and enriching programs on-air, online and in our community.
Dear Friends,

We thank the heroes for bravery, sacrifice, wisdom, and kindness. We honor the historical and continued contributions of the first nations of our country and our military veterans. We appreciate you all more than words can express.

In the elementary, middle, and high school sections of this newsletter, you will find resources to learn more about Native American heritages, veterans, and military families.

This month, we are offering a variety of in-person and virtual teacher and family sessions, the first of which is an in-person screening of the documentary Luminous. This professional development Event for Teachers will include a screening of the documentary, followed by a Q&A with the astronomer and filmmaker. This event will be held on Saturday, November 5 at the Scobee Education Center at 9AM. Details about this session and more upcoming trainings, along with registration links, are at the bottom of this newsletter.

Thank you to Firstmark Credit Union for their support of KLRN's educator training sessions. Please learn more about upcoming sessions and events at klrn.org/events.

Please reach out with any questions at any time. Thank you for what you do.

Growing and storing food takes money, and fuel, so when it’s wasted it not only wastes food, which is an important resource, but so are the fuel, energy, and money that it takes to produce the food. There are some easy things you can do to reduce the amount of food you waste.
