The mission of KLRN is to open a world of lifelong learning through trustworthy and enriching programs on-air, online and in our community.
Dear Families,

There are so many opportunities for educating ourselves while also finding ways to use what we learn to help each other. Let us take this time to explore and discover new skills and interests.

Science is one of the broadest academic areas: we can learn about space, physics, chemistry, the natural world, and so much more. In this week’s newsletter you will find fun and exciting science-based activities and lessons. Many of  these activities, including  Design Squad: Convenient Carrier , promote STEAM-based learning and invite students to think of ways to use design skills to help each other.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. You’ve got this and you’ve got us on your team. Please keep learning and growing, and please stay safe and well.

With appreciation,
KLRN Education Team

PBS RESOURCES FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIVENESS
Everyone needs some kind of accommodations. Be respectful and welcoming.

Please note:  These resources are for educational use and are to be used in conjunction with other resources and conversations to provide the most complete context for young people. These resources are to be watched, read, and explore together with an adult. If you are utilizing these tools in an educational setting, please notify families of use as they are to be used with families knowledge and inclusion.
HEALTHY KIDS
KLRN’s Healthy Kids Project supports healthy lifestyles by influencing eating decisions and physical activities. Through project resources, the audience is introduced to songs, live action movement, animation, and a cast of “perfectly imperfect” characters to deliver key messaging that contrasts healthy choices and attitudes with unhealthy behaviors. Lessons include activities for children ages 0-9 and all school age lessons are aligned to the TEKS.
BRIGHT BY TEXT
