...and more!
Due to a continuing increase of COVID infections among students and staff, we are temporarily moving the entire student population of the Kettle Moraine High School campus to distance learning beginning November 9.

This move involves all KMHS, KM Global, HS^2, and KM Perform students. It extends the temporary assignment to distance learning for our HS^2 and Perform students. We would like to bring students back to the campus November 30. This will depend on the spread of COVID in our community and among our students at that time.

KM DECA DELIVERED FOR
WAUKESHA COUNTY FOOD PANTRY!!!
In a time when a lot of organizations canceled their drives, KM DECA found a way to "Make it Happen."

KM DECA Canvased over 50 neighborhoods during this years annual Community Wide Food Drive. Over 100 Marketing/DECA members participated in this years "Covid Safe" Annual Food Drive. Marketing/DECA students put #KMKIND into action and this years Food Drive was a great example of how it can be done.

A huge thank you to Kroger foods who donated over 5,000 grocery bags, and Target Corp in partnership with JB Hunt provided the trailer to store the food prior to delivery to the pantry!

UPDATED 2020-2021 SCHOOL CALENDAR
We are now well into the 2020-21 school year and we continue to learn. There is additional burden on our staff when operating within the uncertainty of COVID, supporting both F2F and distance learning and the learners who switch between environments. We are proud of the phenomenal job they have done to this point, but realize they need more support.

The KM Board of Education approved modification of the 2020-21 calendar to increase scheduled professional days in support of our educators, in lieu of banked days for inclement weather. The reason for banked “snow days” no longer exists in the same manner as before. When severe weather occurs, the district will close buildings, but at-home learning will continue. Students will be expected to engage in their scheduled classes from their homes, under the instruction of their teachers.

These additional days, formerly "snow days," will now be utilized as much-needed support for our staff for engaging in professional development, developing digital content, record keeping, conferencing, and collaborating with colleagues around instructional practice.

FREE PROGRAMS for PARENTS!
Parents United is focused on empowering parents of children with disabilities to become effective advocates and informed fecision-makers.

Face coverings, in combination with other mitigation measures, have served the Kettle Moraine School District well in the first month of school and are proven to greatly reduce the spread and effects of COVID-19.

The district is in regular communication with Waukesha County Public Health, who strongly recommends face coverings in schools. This recommendation aligns with CDC and State Health Dept guidelines. Our district face-covering requirement is in place for the entire 2020-21 school year, regardless of the governor’s current or future orders.
