Wednesday, February 22, 2023 (GOLD Day)

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Virtual Day for KMMS

Good morning KMMS students,

Today is a virtual day of school. Follow your “Gold Day” schedule and use the Virtual Day Procedures Doc to access your teachers’ Google Meet links. Attendance will be taken for each class and you will be marked present when you sign in at the beginning of class and actively participate during the class according to teacher directions.

It appears this afternoon’s sleet and ice will pose unsafe travel conditions. We hope you and your families do not have to travel. Please be very careful if you are on the roads.

Thank you for putting your best foot forward on this virtual day,

Mr. Kitzerow

KMMS Principal

Ms. Lloyd

KMMS Associate Principal

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES

Ronald McDonald House Charities offers a home for families to be able to be near their children, who are receiving care at Children’s Wisconsin and other nearby hospitals. As a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House, they are collecting pop tabs to recycle for money to better support the families during their stay at the Ronald McDonald House.

It takes about 1,128 tabs to make a pound. By participating in the pop tabs competition, we are helping with the funds.

The tabs can be from drinks such as pop and energy drinks, soup or canned goods, and even from a tennis ball canister. As long as the tab is metallic, they can be put into your container.

Owen F will be in the lunchroom every Wednesday starting February 1st, for the first 10 minutes, to collect the tabs from you. There will be 4 containers labeled with each house to put the tabs in that you have collected. The house that has the most tabs by February 28th will earn an ice cream party for their house! Wish you all the best of luck! TODAY was supposed to be the final day to turn in your pop tabs… Stay tuned for updates and new information. As a reminder, the house currently in first place is 7 Discover, with Create in second place!  In total, KMMS has given more than 30 lbs of tabs so far!
