KM Grad Loses Everything In Fire
Chloe Tompkins graduated from Kettle Moraine High School in 2014 and is currently the Head Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Northern Michigan University. Her house in Marquette, Michigan was lost to a fire over the weekend. Chloe was back home in Dousman and luckily no one was hurt in the fire. Two men, a dog and a cat were fortunate to escape.

There is a GoFundMe page set up to assist Chloe and her boyfriend.
Board Candidates Answer Journal Sentinel Questions On Key Topics
Four candidates are running for three available seats on the Kettle Moraine School Board this spring. Incumbents Heather Renno, Jim Romanowski and Kathy Kapsy, along with challenger Liz Sparks, will vie for a spot on the board in the April 6 election. Each seat carries a three-year term.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reached out to the candidates for their thoughts on issues facing the district. 
Thank you to those who joined us Tuesday for a community forum with KM's incoming superintendent Stephen Plum, who gave a brief overview of himself, then answered community members' questions.

"It was a great start," said Plum. "Having a dialogue and continual communication with stakeholders is crucial. I am continually impressed by our community's passion for education. This is conversation number one of thousands to come - I am looking forward to it!"
Spring Break Travel: CDC Still Advising Would-Be Travelers To Delay Plans
As we near spring break (March 26 - April 5), please be mindful of the following CDC travel guidelines and how strict adherence to mitigation strategies has allowed us to offer face-to-face learning this year.

CDC: "You and your travel companions (including children) may feel well and not have any symptoms, but you can still spread COVID-19 to family, friends, and community during and after travel. Check your state, territorial, or local health department for info about local quarantine requirements."
KMMS Students Get Personal Replies To Holiday Letters And Cards
James R. Frier, Jr. CMSgt, USAF, personally replied to over 120 letters and cards he received from KMMS students during the holidays.

For some of his favorites, he sent patches with his squadron logo from the 380th Expeditionary Communications!
KMMPA Meeting To Celebrate Music In Our Schools Month And Feature Mr. Plum
Welcome KM's new superintendent and celebrate Music in Our Schools month by attending the March 15 Kettle Moraine Music Parents Association Meeting.  

This month, KMMPA has invited Mr. Plum, KM's new superintendent, to join the meeting and discuss his philosophies on music in the district. If you have any questions or topics you would like him to address related to music in our schools, KMMPA requests you email Mary Hannes directly and she will present them during the meeting.
