No School Monday, January 18th or January 25th

There will be no face to face or distance classes held the next two Mondays. These days are vacation days for students and will be used by teachers and staff members for Professional Development.
This Monday, January 18th, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We encourage you to take the time to discuss the significance of this holiday. Some families might even choose to plan a service project in recognition of MLK Jr.. If your student has fallen behind at school, this is also a perfect opportunity for him/her to use some of the extra time to catch up with reading, assignments or projects.
The KMMS office will be open on Monday, January 18 from 7:30am until 3pm.
We wish you a safe and relaxing long weekend!
PTO Meeting, Thursday, January 21st at 9am

Our meeting this month will feature Amy Plum, District Mental Health Navigator and Allison Beyerl, KMMS School Psychologist and their thoughts and strategies regarding mental health for students and families.
If you have received the Google Meet link to PTO meetings already this year, you will receive an email with the link Thursday morning. If you are new to PTO and have not yet received an email link, please email Maureen Hoffman at hoffmanm@kmsd.edu in order to be added to the meeting invitation email list.
KMSD Distance Student & Parent Surveys

In preparation for the second semester, the district is seeking feedback from multiple stakeholders regarding our structures and implementation of distance learning. This feedback will inform structures, professional development and planning for 2021-22.
All parents have received a survey link and message in IC in order to solicit your feedback.
Additionally, the district office would like any student who participated in distance learning ten days or more to complete a survey about the experience. This will include learners who have selected distance and those who were quarantined ten days or more. Students will have the opportunity to do this during their advisory time.
