KMMS Learning Environment Changes for Last Quarter

If you want your child's learning environment to stay as it is, you do not need to do anything. You only need to complete the survey if you are requesting a change in the learning environment.

The window for requesting changes in placement (to/from F2F/DIST) opens Friday 3/5 and closes Friday 3/12.

To access this survey log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal at https://campus.kmsd.edu/campus/portal/kettlemoraine.jsp and select the survey link in your Inbox.

Due to upcoming state testing preparation, we will not be accepting change requests after March 19th for the 4th term.

NOTE: Distance learners will need to come to KMMS to complete their Forward testing. The testing will begin in mid-April. More details soon.

Almost Spring?

The sunshine and warmer temperatures have us all wanting to put our winter gear away and break out the shorts and short sleeves. Cohorts do take mask breaks outside. Please help us be sure that our students are dressed in layers for indoor and outdoor comfort.

We are proud to share Kettle Moraine Middle School eighth grader Reese A. has been selected as a 2021 Carson Scholar! The purpose of the Carson Scholars Program is to recognize and reward outstanding students in the U.S. who exemplify academic excellence and humanitarian qualities.
Important Information Regarding COVID Testing
Dear KM Families,
There has been some confusion about PCR vs. antigen testing for COVID-19.
If a child stays home OR has been sent home with symptoms of COVID-19 and you wish to have them tested, KMSD requires a negative PCR test, which follows the CDC and Waukesha County guidelines for schools. This is for children with symptoms.

Not every doctor’s office automatically does PCR testing. Please verify the type of testing before having it done.

Documented proof of a negative PCR test is required before a child is allowed back in the classroom along with the child being symptom free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication.

Feel free to email your health staff or call the COVID-19 RN or Health Hotline, if you have any questions.
