Hello KMMS families,

I want to begin by thanking everyone for an overall successful virtual day on Wednesday. There were some attendance hiccups to work through, but we are extremely proud of our students for their level of engagement while learning from home. Thank you to our parents for helping their students keep to the schedule. Our attendance rate was 94.58% on Wednesday, which is actually slightly higher than our year-to-date attendance rate of 93.32%!

The virtual day went well, but we prefer to have our students in person as much as possible. Students learn best, build stronger connections with their peers and their teachers, and build good habits for high school when they are in school. The Wisconsin State Statute on compulsory school attendance outlines 10 days as the maximum amount that parents may excuse their child from school in one academic year. We have about 3.5 months left of this school year and strong attendance can make a big difference.

Thank you for all you do to help your student regularly attend KMMS!
