Last Day to Apply
for an Environment Change
for Semester 2

As we move toward the start of the second semester of the school year, the district has offered another opportunity for families to select either face-to-face or distance learning.

NOTE: If you want your child's learning environment to stay as it is, you do not need to do anything. You only need to complete the survey if you are requesting a change in the learning environment.

To access the change of environment survey, log onto your district's Infinite Campus Parent Portal at https://campus.kmsd.edu/campus/portal/kettlemoraine.jsp and select the survey link in your inbox.
This survey will be accepting responses from 12/13/2021 until 01/07/2022.

The results of the survey below will help determine each student's placement from January 25th through June 8th.

Plea for Support from Home:
Please charge devices at home overnight

We have noticed a large increase in the number of students arriving at school without fully charged computers. It is the expectation that students arrive at school fully prepared for learning. Our library only has a limited number of loaner devices and this also takes time away from students being in their classrooms.

Please help your student(s) to remember to charge their device each and every night: verify it is plugged in, the charge light is on, AND that the outlet is working and not connected to a light switch.

We understand that things happen, but there are currently a very high number of students who are repeatedly requesting loaner computers because they did not charge their computers.

Thank you for your assistance with this.

Snow Days will become Virtual Days

Here at KMMS we will not close in the case of extreme weather conditions. We will instead have our classes occur virtually through Google Meets. Families will be notified of these instances via district communication. Our middle school team has assembled this plan for those days.

We look forward to maintaining learning continuity and growth during any distance learning. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mr. Comiskey.
