Hello KMMS families,

We want to take a moment to thank veterans in our school community. Mr. Geboy and Mr. Blanchard are two KMMS staff members who have served. We also want to thank all parents and family members who have served. Thank you for your dedication and service to us all. My family has a rich military background, most notably my oldest sister who served in Iraq from 2003-2004. I always looked up to Allison and admired how she put her life and her education at Marquette University on hold, taking three semesters off for her deployment.

I feel that our KMMS students can draw similar inspiration from veterans in their lives. Veterans have put the needs of others before their own needs. Students who make choices to treat people well and consider the needs of others find great purpose in life, not to mention reporting higher levels of self-esteem and self worth.

Thank you to all of our KM community veterans and to all of our parents as they support their KMMS students.

Have a great weekend,

Matt Kitzerow

Happy National School Psychologist Week!

School Psychologists provide a variety of services including wellness promotion, prevention, early intervention, and support for emerging problems and concerns, as well as intensive services for students with the most severe needs. The theme of National School Psychology Week this year is, "Together we Shine."

Here are 3 school psychologist superpowers of our very own, Allison Beyerl:

  • Allison sees students who others may miss.
  • Allison sees every problem as a solution waiting to be uncovered.
  • Allison can help parents find humor in the tedious problems of adolescence.

Thank you for all that you do for KMMS students and families, Allison!
