Have a Happy and Safe Break
No School November 24-26!
Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we approach Thanksgiving week, I am reflecting on how thankful I am to be a part of the great community here at Kettle Moraine Middle School. I am hopeful that each of you can think of a KMMS staff member who has made a difference with your child this year. If that is true, can I ask you to take a minute or two and drop a note to them here at school? You can find all teachers’ email addresses here. If there is a para-educator whom you'd like to thank, please email Maureen Hoffman (hoffmanm@kmsd.edu) for their email address. OR - may I suggest you go “old school” and send a note to them here at KMMS? Sometimes a handwritten note touches people in special ways. Our school address is 301 East Ottawa Avenue, Dousman, WI 53118

Heartfelt thanks for your continued partnership!  Have a safe and memorable holiday,

Michael Comiskey
Term 1 Progress Grades are Posted

All of our teachers have posted interim grades for the end of Term 1. Yes, we are one-quarter through the 21-22 school year! Check out your student's interim grade by logging into Infinite Campus! Look for the Term 1 Progress Grade.

An IP (instead of a letter grade) stands for “In Progress”, which means something is missing, below grade level, or not enough work has been completed to determine a letter grade. You will find a comment explaining the IP immediately below.

If your student has had a schedule change this year, we would recommend hiding dropped courses under the Settings menu on the right hand side of the screen. Any progress has been transferred with the schedule change.

You also have the option to print a grade report. Go to Documents on the left side. The KMMS Report Card is a choice in the middle of the screen.

A reminder that middle school grades are continually updated until the completion of the course. For most of our classes, that means grades are final at the end of the school year in June. Also, not all of your child’s teachers utilize the same learning management platform for tracking progress. More progress details may be available in other places (Canvas, MyLC or Summit).

If you have questions, please reach out to your child’s teachers, whose emails are available in Infinite Campus (click on the course name in blue on the grade list). We are also here in the KMMS office to help you any time.
Time for our 8th graders
to Think about High School Choices
Middle school students and their parents/guardians are invited to info sessions at Kettle Moraine High School to learn more about the tremendous educational choices offered on the Kettle Moraine High School Campus.
LASER LOCKER

If you haven't stopped at the Laser Locker on the KMHS campus yet this year, please do so! A lot has changed! Hours vary during the week, and are usually based on events/happenings at the high school.

We carry lots of KM clothing choices and accessories. All of our items are "KM" items, but the store is not school or sport specific.
Cash and credit cards are gladly accepted. Follow the HS Facebook page or check the HS website for store hours.
This is a great place to purchase authentic KM gear, especially for birthdays and holidays!

Collect Albrecht's
Sentry Receipts

Do you shop at Sentry? Are you buying the fixings for your Thanksgiving feast next week? Please save your Sentry Delafield receipts and put in the collection bucket in the office. It's a great way to raise funds for KMMS!

Please send in your Albrecht's Sentry receipts throughout the rest of the year. Albrecht's Sentry will give back 1% of receipt totals collected. Receipts can be dropped off in the front office in the designated collection container. This is a quick and easy way to support KMMS PTO and our school.
Thank you to Albrecht's Sentry for supporting our community!
