FALL 2026 KNIGHTLINE

Dear Lexington Catholic families, alumni, and friends,

The 2025 to 2026 Knightline Annual Report is now available, and it marks a milestone worth pausing over. Seventy five years ago, St. Catherine's Academy and Lexington Latin School merged to form Lexington Catholic High School. What began with roughly 50 students downtown has become the only Catholic high school in central Kentucky, with nearly 200 years of Catholic education behind it.

This edition includes the complete 75 year history of the school, letters from Principal Mathew George, Superintendent Miranda Chaplin, and our new chaplain Fr. Ben Horn, this year's academic award and scholarship recipients, and full recognition of the donors, corporate partners, and 75th Diamond Jubilee sponsors whose gifts sustained our mission from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

You will also find details on the 75th Anniversary Annual Fund and how to join the celebration at whatever level fits your family, starting at $75 for 75 years.

Read KnightLine above. Thank you for being part of this story. The next 75 begins with you.

ALL-SCHOOL MASS HONORING ST. PETER CLAVER

Yesterday, we gathered for all school Mass on the Memorial of St. Peter Claver, a saint who devoted his life to serving others, especially those who were suffering, forgotten, or in need. He believed every person was created in the image and likeness of God, and he lived that belief through compassion and service.

St. Peter Claver holds a special place in our Lexington Catholic community. Father Norman Fischer, our beloved former chaplain, served as pastor of St. Peter Claver Parish here in Lexington, where he helped build a larger church to welcome and serve a growing parish community. He left behind a legacy of faith, service, and love.

Father Norm's life reminds us of something St. Peter Claver understood so well. Our faith is not meant to be lived only within the walls of a church. It is meant to be lived through the way we serve, welcome, encourage, and care for one another.

FRESHMAN RETREAT

Last week, the Class of 2030 experienced our annual 'Freshman Retreat' throughout the entire school day. This year's theme was 'Companions On The Journey' which included icebreakers and games held throughout campus to help them get to know each other. We would like to thank Jesuit Spiritual Center at Milford for their assistance with music, worship, and for guiding them through all the activities.

Seven Knights have been selected for this year's Leadership Lexington Youth Program through Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass.

Congratulations to Tate Ashmun, Eleanor Clay, Addison Mason, Leah McGuire, Caldwell Pfister, Caroline Razor, and Henry Rosenthal. LLYP brings together juniors from schools across Fayette County for a year of sessions with community leaders on government and public safety, the arts, higher education, health and human services, and more. It is a firsthand look at how Lexington works and who makes it work.

Thank you for the incredible support you've shown our teachers. We wanted a way to support them, in addition to the supplies they already receive from the school. Every item purchased goes straight into a classroom, helping to enhance and support the classroom experience, and into the daily work of making a Lexington Catholic education what it is.

If you'd like to have your gift shipped directly to school, please use this address:

Lexington Catholic

You're also welcome to ship items to your own home and send them in with your student to deliver personally. Either way works beautifully, and either way our teachers and students feel the difference. We are grateful for you.
