KOG Youth News
There are a little more than 300 days until the 2022 ELCA Youth Gathering! Sunday, September 19th was the latest meeting for the youth interested in attending next July. After discussing God’s Boundless Love (Ephesians 3), we enjoyed pizza, games and then headed out front. The students changed the reader board to reflect some of the sentiments of our studies.
Free Meal News
The next free meal will be on Saturday, October 2nd from noon to 1:30. We will be having chicken tetrazzini, green salad, peas and carrots, rolls, and of course, something yummy for dessert. Due to the women’s retreat to St. Gertrude’s, the meal was moved a week ahead. If you wish to help out tgat day, please come to help at 10am. We will again do this as an outdoor picnic. However, if the weather doesn’t permit this, we will serve the meal as take-out.

Sundays for Undies!
Days for Girls is a non-profit organization that
helps girls stay in school and retain dignity,
giving back important days of their lives. Most girls in developing countries miss school during their periods; many eventually drop out. We can do something about that by empowering girls, women, and communities through providing access to sustainable feminine hygiene, as well as menstrual health management training.

You can help us keep girls in school by bringing a package of GIRLS underwear to Church.

Fruit of the Loom - 8, 10, 12 and 14
Hanes - 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 5S
Wonder Nation (WalMart) - 12, 14 and 16
Preferably not white but there are usually 1-2 of those in a pack and we will dye them. Bright colors.
 No explicit words please.

bake_sale_white.jpg
On Sunday, October 3 before and after both worship services, Ashlee Wetherington will be hosting a bake sale to benefit Luther Heights Bible Camp!
This bake sale will be in conjunction with the Luther Heights Virtual Run 4 Camp held on October 24. Ashlee's goal is to raise $1,000 for camp through the bake sale and run sponsorships.
Cookies, brownies, whole cakes, cake slices and more will be available with a suggested donation amount. All proceeds from the bake sale will go directly to camp as Ashlee will be using a Thrivent Action Team Grant to pay for supplies.

Here is a link if you would like to donate in general with no bake sale contribution:

Thank you for your help!
Sandwich Sunday News

The September Sandwich Sunday project was a big success. Fifteen people made 42 loaves of bread into sandwiches that were delivered to the Boise Rescue Mission. A big THANKS to everyone who donated supplies and helped make the sandwiches. We used ALL the meat and cheese that was donated. We are grateful to Franz Bakery for donating 40 loaves of bread for our project.

The next Sandwich Sunday is scheduled for October 10th. Your continued support of this monthly outreach is very appreciated. We will need supplies of meat, cheese, margarine and bread to make the October project another successful outreach by King of Glory.

Fall News
Fall is always exciting. With Fall beginning September 22, we will be seeing lower temperatures, and traditionally, friends and family gathering together. While some of that may be curbed this year due to the coronavirus — it’s still a time for joy and merriment. Happy Fall!
