Rabbi Alex Schutz of Modi'in Illit

Author of Kuntres DiShemaya, a commentary on the

astronomical concepts dealt with in Meseches Rosh Hashana

Rabbi Schutz studied in Yeshivas Ner Israel of Baltimore and in yeshivas Maalos Hatorah under Rav Shmuel Auerbach. He studied meseches Rosh Hashana in-depth at Kollel Daas Tevunos in Kiryat Sefer under the leadership of Rav Kalman Gurevich and authored his work there. He has lectured widely on this subject across the world in England, Israel, Canada and United States.

His book has haskamos, approbations from renowned poskim, Rav Shmuel Auerbach, Rav Michel Zilber and Rav Shlomo Miller among others.

  •  Project Innocent Heart Event this Monday Evening.

    Safer Communities for Safer Children

    Project Innocent Heart was founded at the behest of some of our generation's most respected rabbinic and lay leaders for the specific purpose of reducing the incidence of child abuse and maltreatment in our communities.  Towards this end, we have brought together the finest experts from the fields of social services, mental health and education and created a comprehensive program that has already impacted tens of thousands.Project Innocent Heart has conducted tens of workshops for educators, parents and community leaders which train participants to create safer homes, schools and communities for children.

    Please join us this Monday evening May 12, from 6:00-8:30 PM for our Inaugural Launch Event in Philadelphia at Steinhardt Hall on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.  We will be privileged to hear CHOP's Dr. Cindy Christian, Judge Flora Barth Wolf and Rabbi Yerachmiel Milstein talk about real and effective ways to build safer communities for children. A light fare of strictly kosher sushi and delicious desserts will be offered.
