Rabbi Menachem Nissel is a renowned speaker and author who has inspired thousands throughout the world. He is a widely published author including the highly acclaimed Rigshei Lev - Women and Tefillah (Targum / Feldheim 2001). He has the rare ability to translate lofty concepts into practical daily living, spiced with irrepressible British humor. He is a senior lecturer for Ner LeElef (Jewish Leadership Training) and teaches in yeshivas and seminaries in Jerusalem. He is the Senior Educator for NCSY, the worldwide youth group of the Orthodox Union. He has an MBA from the London Business School".

The Kollel's new summer zeman began

All chavrusos and shiurim resumed at this time. If you learn regularly at the Kollel, please be in contact with your chavrusa or maggid shiur to confirm resumption of your regular learning schedule.

Community News
  • Bnos of Bala Cynwyd will iy"H meet this Shabbos, Parshas Kedoshim, May 14th, from 4:30pm - 5:30pm at LMS.
  • Torah Youth will meet from 3:00 - 4:00 on the Lower level.
  • If anyone was in the Franklin Institute museum in Philadelphia on Wednesday Chol Hamoed Pesach (April 25th), and witnessed a six year old girl fall right outside "The Heart" exhibit shortly before 3:00PM, please contact her family at yitze2002@yahoo.com. The injury sustained turned out to be serious and any witness that knows what occurred could possibly be very helpful for her.
  • On Tuesday, April 26, Pennsylvania will head to the polls to vote in several important elections, including a presidential primary, primaries in the races for U.S. Senate and Pennsylvania Attorney General, as well as a number of local contests.
    Please note that Primary Day falls on one of the days of Chol Hamoed Pesach. If you're going to be away for yom tov be sure to get an absentee ballot before you leave.
    Keep in mind that Tuesday, April 19, is the last day before the primary that official applications for an absentee ballot may be received by the county board of elections. Applications are due by 5 p.m. If you'll be away, unable to go to the polls due to illness or physical disability, or if you're observing a religious holiday on Primary Day, apply for an absentee ballot here: http://www.dosimages.pa.gov/pdf/AbsenteeBallotApplication.pdf
     
  • Rabbi Mordechai Young gives a weekly class for women every Sunday evening at 7:45 at the Poe's (400 Gary Lane in Bala Cynwyd). Now learning Koheles. All women and young ladies are welcome!
