This special event celebrates the cultural diversity of the empanada—from Chile to Argentina to the Philippines.

I’m honored to join Joseph Ahearne of El Porteño and Marina Sousa of Harina Baked Goods as we each present our traditional empanadas before a live audience. We’ll be sharing samples so everyone can taste what makes each empanada so unique.

New Hours of Operation at Chile Lindo

I’ll spare you the details, but after many months, I’m happy to report that the coffee shop is once again open—Monday through Saturday!

The kitchen will remain open Thursday through Saturday.

Chile Lindo Kitchen Culture is available for special events. It comfortably seats 25, but we’ve hosted many lively gatherings with twice as many.

With an open kitchen, great sound system, piano, seating, wine glasses, and à la carte options, it’s the perfect setting for private events of all kinds. We’re licensed to serve beer and wine.

"Chile Lindo," the traditional Chilean empanada shop located in the heart of the Mission District, was officially recognized asa Legacy Business by the City of San Francisco on May 12. The distinction coincides with the 30th anniversary since its current owner, Chilean cultural entrepreneur Paula Tejeda Rieloff, assumed leadership of the business with a clear vision: to transform a small shop into a meeting point for culture, community and Chilean identity.

“Chile Lindo”, el tradicional local de empanadas chilenas ubicado en el corazón del Distrito de la Misión, fue oficialmente reconocido como Legacy Business (Negocio Patrimonial) por la ciudad de San Francisco el pasado 12 de mayo. La distinción coincide con el aniversario número 30 desde que su actual propietaria, la emprendedora cultural chilena Paula Tejeda Rieloff, asumió el liderazgo del negocio con una clara visión: transformar un pequeño local en un punto de encuentro para la cultura, la comunidad y la identidad chilena.
