We a Non-Profit Members Society that represents the interest of Mountain Bikers, and we promote the many aspects of the sport.
Can you tell us a little about your organization?
The KBRA is a vehicle that is driven by our members so we help facilitate all ideas, visions, and ambitions to better the allaround Mountain Biking Community.
How long has your organization been active and operating?
10+ years
Where do your members meet and ride?
Our Group Rides are traditionally every Wednesday pre COVID, and we meet at a different location every week ending the ride with a bbq n' stories.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments or achievements as an organization that you would like to highlight?
Our Group Ride Program and our Kids League Program
What has KBRA been working on lately?
Currently, we have been working on building new programs to keep active and present in the community. Because of COVID, we are very limited on the group gatherings. We are adding additional trails to the Dufferin Kids park, building a new kids Mountain Bike park in Aberdeen, working on approval, and funding for a new pump track in Dufferin.
What is an inspiring moment that you have witnessed from one of your members?
The number of members that physically show up at our events showing support.
What are some of KBRA's future goals?
Our goal is to continue to build a society that has a strong influence membership base that allows us to continue to build and support the sport of Mountain Biking not only for our community but also for the visitors to
Kamloops.
Who are some volunteers that you would like to highlight in your community for their work and dedication?
Catharine Pendrel - Spearheading the build of the Dufferin Kids Mountain Bike Park & KBRA Kids League, Chris Martin - KBRA Kids League, and Scott Baker manages Batch Trails.
Why should people become a member of the KBRA?
To have a voice and a vote on the future of Mountain Biking in Kamloops are the big reasons to become a member and then all the fun stuff such as our Community Group Rides, Building Trails, Maintaining Trails, Coaching our Teen Group Rides or Kids Program, and of course Special Events.
How can people become more involved in the mountain bike community in Kamloops?
To become involved the first step is to become a member then you will have access to all Trail Days, Group Rides, Events, etc.

What do you think makes Kamloops such a great mountain biking community?
Kamloops is blessed to have so many different riding areas within the city limits, and the diversity of our parks feeds the appetite of all skill levels.
