Join KTD Khenpos & Lamas for Online Dharma Talks & Practices

In the midst of all the difficulties surrounding the Coronavirus public health emergency - people needing to stay home from school and work, giving special care to their at-risk family members, and so forth - it is sometimes easy to feel distant from one’s spiritual practice.

To help our Dharma friends feel more connected during these times of "social distancing,” Karma Triyana Dharmachakra Monastery has scheduled online weekly Dharma Talks by the Khenpos and Lamas of KTD.
Where are the Webcasts?
All webcasts mentioned below will take place via   Facebook Live on the
Karmapa KTD Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Karma.Triyana.Dharmachakra/   and on the KTD YouTube Channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/ktdwoodstock
Every Weekend

Saturday & Sunday Evening Classes with Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin & Khenpo Sangye Trinley
Starting THIS Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22 , from 8 to 9 p.m. Eastern Time, Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin will teach on several topics over the next few weeks, including “Sakya Nedrol - The Prayer for Calming the Fear of Disease,” “Karma, Cause and Effect,” “The Effectiveness of the Medicine Buddha Practice,” “Tonglen Compassion Meditation,” and “Working with Difficult Times.” He will be assisted by translator Khenpo Sangye Trinley.

Khenpo Ugyen’s Saturday and Sunday evening classes will begin slightly later in the evening than our usual teachings to accommodate our Dharma Friends on the West Coast. Classes will run through Sunday April 26.

NOTE: There will be NO class webcast on Saturday March 28 due to the day-long webcast of the Amitabha Jangchok puja (see “March and April Webcast Events” below).
Every Thursday

Thursday Evening Chenrezik Chant & Special Prayers to Calm Sickness
Fill your evening with waves of compassion mantra every Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, as the KTD Khenpos and Lamas lead us through a chant practice of Chenrezik, Amitabha and Guru Rinpoche.

At the conclusion of every practice, before dedications are recited, the lamas will lead us in a recitation of the Sakya Nedrol, the “Prayer that Saved Sakya” (monastery), written by 14th Century Tibetan saint Tangtong Gyalpo.

This powerful prayer has been recited by Tibetans for hundreds of years, and was the prayer recommended by His Holiness Karmapa for reciting to calm fears of the Coronavirus.

Both the KTD Chenrezik practice text and the Sakya Nedrol prayer are available for download below.
Thursday evening Chenrezik chants will be webcast through Thursday, April 30 .
