WEBCAST PROGRAMS & SPECIAL EVENTS  September 2022

Lama Zopa Tarchin follows and reflects at the 2022 10-Day Teaching, on the subject of “The Inner Biography of Karma Chakme Rinpoche," as taught by KTD Abbot Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin.

Make a Joyful Sound!

A joyous procession of KTD khenpos, lamas, monastics, staff, and guests recently celebrated the completion of several major monastery projects – creating, blessing and installing 108 prayer wheels to decorate the outside of KTD’s Eight Great Stupas display, and the building of an “outer khora” path that can take pilgrims and visitors all around the monastery’s temple and sacred monuments.

The KTD grounds also are alive with visitors these summer days; in early July we hosted the annual 10-Day Teaching with Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin auspiciously continuing his teachings on the sacred namthar (life and liberation story) of the great 17th Century master Karma Chakme Rinpoche. We also hosted a “watch party” for the July 10 Teaching by His Holiness Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, on “Developing Loving Kindness and Compassion.”

New teachings will begin in September on Gampopa’s great description of the entire Buddhist path entitled “Ornament of Precious Liberation,” with Khenpo Sangye Trinley; and Lama Tsultrim Gyaltsen will present teachings on Karma Chakme’s Chöd practice. Also during September, Khenpo Karma Tenkyong and Lama Losang will give welcoming introductions to Buddhism and meditation practice.

We hope you will join us – in person or on Zoom – to take part in the auspicious goodness. May your dharma practice and study expand and flourish!
