Thanksgiving in a Box

Be part of this annual event where we assemble and deliver boxes of food for those in our community who might not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers are needed to make sandwiches, bake pie-flavored cookies (pecan, apple, pumpkin, etc.), bake stuffing muffins, assemble the boxes and deliver the food on Thanksgiving morning.  We'll meet in the FLC at 10am to make sandwiches and pack boxes. Baked cookies and/or muffins, need to be brought to the church by tomorrow. We plan to be done assembling by 11am in time to deliver them for lunch.  Click here to sign up to help us share Christ's love!
Advent Devotional Project

Advent is such an important time to learn, to delight and to go as the disciples we are called to be.  Throughout this season of advent we will embark on an Advent Devotional Project. Each morning (except for Sundays) subscribers will receive a devotion in their inboxes written by one of our staff members. Devotionals will run December 2 through Christmas Day. These devotionals will lead us through scripture and give us a call to action. You can subscribe by clicking here.
Mission 1025

December 1, 5:30-6:45pm, join your KUMC family for a light supper (donations accepted) before we package weekend food for children in our Backpack Ministry Program. This is a great opportunity for the whole family!
How Will You Serve This Christmas?

We are trying something new for Christmas Eve Server sign-ups. For Blue Christmas, Travelers Christmas and 6 services on Christmas Eve, we need 185 people serving in varying roles. The process is simple, decide which service and how you would like to serve; fill out a label with your name and email address; and place over the appropriate spot on the banner outside the Sanctuary. Let's work to get all our Christmas server needs filled! Kim Kuhlman will send confirmation emails and can answer any questions.
Serving at Evergreen

Friday, December 6, at noon, 4 and 6pm, KUMC members will serve a holiday meal to residents at Evergreen Retirement Community.  Sign up to make a dessert or serve here!
Mission 1025 Cookie Drop

Pick up boxes at the Welcome Desk to take home and fill with homemade cookies. Then take them to a friend, neighbor, co-worker or someone you run into in your day-to-day errands. Boxes are labeled with an invitation to our Christmas Eve worship services. We also have boxes with labels for those treats you wish to deliver to people in the community who are working on Christmas Day. Cookie Drop Boxes are available for pick up December 7-22. Contact  Cathy Dill for details!
