Theology Uncorked

Tuesdays, through July 30, 6-7:30pm, meet at Cafe Sicilia, 6801 Rufe Snow Dr. The book for this session is Inspired by Rachel Held Evans. Bring a bottle of wine and join Pastor Lauren as we take a deeper look at our faith and how we are called into action to share Christ's love with the world.

Prayer Covering Ministry

All are welcome to join us as we make quilts and shawls for persons who might need to feel the warmth of prayers around them. We also provide afghans for Baby Baptisms.  We meet the fourth Monday of each month in DAC 414, 9:30-11am. We bring our machines, or knit, crochet supplies. If your quilts or shawls are already completed, we pray over them, so they will be ready  to send out full of our love and prayers.
Contact Paula Burda 817-313-9505, or Sarah Colvin 817-991-8767 with questions!

Give-it-a-Try Choir

We encourage people who have been considering singing with the Chancel Choir to come and "give it a try!" July 10-August 11, no Wednesday rehearsals and no choir robes! Sunday mornings, we'll gather a choir in the Music Suite at 10:30am to go through a simple, easy to learn song to present in the 11am service.
Grace
Mark 1:9-11

How do you understand your value in God's eyes? Do you believe there are things you need to do to please God? This week, we'll consider how the gospel message of grace should be the basis for our self-understanding.

Saturday
5pm - with Praise Band

Sunday
8:15am - with Traditional Hymns
9:30am - with Praise Band
11am - with Summer Choir

Pick up whatever school supplies you wish to give and bring them to the Welcome Desk when you come to worship! Contact   Cathy Dill  for more information.
Conversations with Pastors Jason and Estee

Come and share conversation with our new co-pastors. Jason and Estee value your thoughts about KUMC. At each conversation, participants will be invited to respond to these questions:

Why do you come to Keller UMC?
How is the spirit of God moving in this church?
What are you anxious about?
What are your hopes for our church?

Participants are limited to 15 per session.
Conversation dates begin July 22!
Haiti Mission Opportunity

Nearly 700 million people lack access to safe drinking water and water borne illnesses are the leading cause of death for children under five in Haiti. Water to Life partnered with KUMC helps provide water filters to prevent water borne illnesses. If you are interested in helping distribute water filters and buckets to the people in Haiti and engaging in the community, Keith Bierley will share details about the upcoming trip this October at the Welcome Desk this weekend. Stop by or email Cathy Dill if you are interested.
Summer Theater Workshop

KUMC Summer Theater Workshop presents Alice in Wonderland, Jr. Participants will spend two weeks learning all about the joy of bringing a production to life through acting, music, choreography and technical theater workshops all culminating in three live shows!  Shows are free of charge but donations will be accepted and will benefit the Methodist Children's Home in Waco.

Performance Dates are:
July 31 and August 1 and 2 , 7:30pm

Blessing of the Backpacks
and Back to School Breakfast

School is getting ready to start back and KUMC wants all the kids in our community to have a spiritually uplifting school year. August 10 and 11, children and youth from pre-k to high school are invited to bring their backpacks for a time of blessing in all of our worship services. During 9:30 and 11am worship on August 11, kids, youth, teachers and administrators will be dismissed after the blessing for a special breakfast. We hope to see you, and your backpacks, on this weekend!
3rd - 5th Grade Bible Retreat

September 13-14, our third, fourth and fifth graders head to Glen Lake Camp for a weekend break from school where they learn how to use their Bible during worship and small group activities. There will also be plenty of time to enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing and games with old friends and new friends you'll meet from other churches. Kids will become more familiar and comfortable in using their Bible, connecting to God, while enjoying fellowship and bonding with their peers.

Mark your calendars and watch for registration details!
