2019 Ministry Council

Executive Team
The team  normally meets weekly on Tuesdays to review all new ministry requests. They discuss to insure that the proposed ministry is in line with our mission statement, has the necessary staff and lay support, falls within the budget approved by Ministry Council, and has appropriate space available. They also discuss big-picture challenges and opportunities.

Valentine's Luncheon

February 13, 11:30am in DAC 411, bring $7 (suggested donation) for the catered lunch and join the SAGES monthly gathering to enjoy musical entertainment by David Gerig and Carlene Edwards. 
Food Drive for Keller UMC Resource Center

Pick up a re-usable shopping bag with shop list attached this weekend at the Welcome Desk. Shop for items and return  to the tables in the Sanctuary anytime between now and February 24!
Attention All Gardeners!

Our church community garden has grown and we now have eighteen raised garden beds for rent! Each bed is 8' x 4'. The beds, soil and water are furnished. You just plant, tend and harvest. Each bed rents for just $25 for the entire year (that includes spring, summer and fall planting!) Click here for details and garden contract.

Join us for an opportunity to serve together as a family Mission 1025 at 5:30pm on February 24 in the Family Life Center. We will be sorting donations for the Resource Center! Afterwards, we will meet up at Cherry Berry Frozen Yogurt for some tasty treats and fellowship! Hope to see you there!

Forgive Ourselves

Forgiveness is not easy under any circumstances, but forgiving ourselves is often the most difficult task. Valuing ourselves as important creations of God is the root of being able to love others. Join us this weekend as we explore how to fully forgive ourselves so that we may be able to fully love and forgive one another.

Join Pastor Jim Chandler and Eldon Reynolds for this three-week series for those facing loss of any kind. Discover steps that lead to a way forward. We can live life again. Loss of a loved one is not the end of us. Learn to listen to your inner self and receive helpful information to guide you. This is not a therapy group. It is a safe place to work through the grieving process. No reservation required. Meet in DAC 416.

Connection Point is a time for people who are looking to join with us officially or get more information on ways to connect. An official time to unite with us through baptism or church membership is offered at the conclusion if you so desire. Join us Wednesday, February 20, at 6:30pm in DAC 410.

Mission 1025

Join us Sunday, February 24, at 5:30pm in the FLC for a light supper before we transfer donated items from the Food Drive to the Resource Center. We'll also assist in stocking of the pantry shelves. All ages welcome!
Building Blocks Registrations for 2019-2020

February 13 - Kindergarten Registration Begins
(Priority given to continuing students and KUMC members)

February 19 - Preschool Registration begins for continuing students and KUMC members

February 25 - Registration begins for returning families that do not currently have children enrolled

February 27 - All registration opens to the community

General Conference Prayer Service

Join us Sunday, February 24, 5-5:30pm in the Sanctuary for a meaningful time of worship together, in which we'll meditate and pray for all those attending the Special Session of the General Conference of The United Methodist Church. With a potentially divisive atmosphere at General Conference, we felt it was vital for us offer our worship space to our Keller UMC family and anyone else who would like to participate for a time of prayer for peaceful, affirming and respectful discussion. Youth Mission Fundraiser
Dessert and Auction
March 2, 6-8:30pm

You are invited to a one night auction supporting KUMC youth missions. Sample and b id on homemade desserts and silent auction items. Donations or contributions will go toward costs of scholarships, transportation and supplies for youth missions at Keller UMC.  Home baked goods are needed for the tasting and live auction. If you would be willing to make two or more of the same dessert item, 
Rehearsals Have Begun for Seven Last Words

On Good Friday the Chancel Choir will present  Seven Last Words, a Lenten cantata. Rehearsals are  Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm in the Music Suite. All who are interested in singing this beautiful work are welcome to join us!

Youth Ministries (7th-12th Grade)
Be Part of Youth Choir!

The revamped youth choir for 7th-12th graders will kick-off rehearsals on Sunday, February 24, 12:15-1:15pm in the Music Suite. We look forward to seeing what this group can do! Please note: if you want to bring a lunch you may do so or plan to eat before or after as lunch is not provided.
