Journey Through Holy Week
Selected Readings from Luke 19, 22 and 23

Journey with us through the final week of Jesus' life as we await the joy of Easter. Remembering and retelling the full story of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the last supper, betrayal, trial and crucifixion helps us grow in our appreciation for God's great love through Jesus Christ. There is no joy in Easter without the pain and sacrifice of this Holy Week.

Sunday

Receptions for Pastor Chris

Join us in wishing Pastor Chris well as he leaves Keller UMC and begins work at another United Methodist Church. During his nearly eight years of service at KUMC, Pastor Chris played key roles in adding a fourth worship time, high attendance growth, and doubling the size of our space available for ministry. He challenged us to find new and important ministries that focused outwardly into the community. He celebrated with our church family in baptisms and confirmations, and walked with us through times of sadness and mourning.

We hope that you will stop by and share your thanks at receptions in the Atrium following each worship service on April 13 and 14. A basket will be available to drop notes, cards, etc. for those who want to share with Pastor Chris what he has meant in their lives.
April 10 and 17
6-7:30pm, Cafe Sicilia

Theology Uncorked is designed to create a community around food, wine and theological discussion. This study helps us take a deeper look at our faith and how we are called into action to share Christ's love with the world. The book for discussion this session is The  Color of Life: A Journey Toward Love and Racial Justice , by Cara Meredith.  Get details here!
Saturday, April 13

Join us from 3-4:30pm as we branch out and try something new! This year in place of Eggstravaganza we are hosting a Community Yard Party! The Yard Party provides an opportunity for all our neighbors to enjoy an afternoon of fellowship, food, live music and fun! We are excited to have Jackson Christenberry on the main stage and Rita's Ice, Frio Pops and Doughnut Snob will be on site selling the most delicious treats! Bring a neighbor, blanket or lawn chairs, your favorite yard games (and a picnic for your family if you wish) and enjoy the afternoon together! We invite you to join us for worship at 5pm in the Sanctuary afterward.

Easter is the celebration of God's willingness and ability to overcome anything, even death, for you and me. Today we can still be in disbelief about God's love and goodness, but it is not nonsense. It is God's good news to each of us!
