Give-it-a-Try Choir

During July and August, we encourage people who have been considering singing with the Chancel Choir to come and "give it a try!" July 10-August 11, no Wednesday rehearsals and no choir robes! Sunday mornings, we'll gather a choir in the music suite at 10:30am to go through a simple, easy to learn song to present in the 11am service. Come on, and "Give It a Try" this summer!
Monday Women's Bible Study

August 5-September 16,  this group begins  The Red Sea Rules  by Robert J. Morgan, based on the miracle at the Red Sea, that occurs in Exodus 14. We'll discuss the journey that the children of Israel faced, and the challenges and fear they (and we) face on our own personal journeys. We will learn a 10 step process of praising and trusting God in the face of adversity, and each step is a lesson learned through the challenge of the Red Sea. So, join us at 11am each week as we go to the Red Sea and wait for the parting of the waters! Class  is led by Kerry Kniese and Linda Simmons. Books are $6.  Purchase yours here by July 14!

Too often we divide people into optimistic or pessimistic believing that they are opposites. However, optimism and pessimism are not opposites of one another. This Sunday we will explore how and why optimism and pessimism are similar, how they fail us and what it is God in Christ calls us to live as a Spirit-full alternative.
