PERPETUAL REVIVAL
8 x 10 inches
This work is the remake of an older piece. The foundation of the composition is the impression of the city of Naples at the foothill of Mount Vesuvius. The symbolism of the snail is obviously connected to the history of Rome and Italy. The horns of the snail resemble the sickle of the moon, and they periodically disappear and appear again. This quality and the spiral of the shell make the snail a symbol of the cyclical process in life, revival and rebirth of the world civilizations. Flaring lights set the foreground in motion, adding dynamism to the entire composition. LEAVES OF ONE TREE
6 x 6 inches
Man and woman are two leaves growing on one tree. We can imagine that this tree is the mythological "Tree of Life" and the leaves as the biblical Adam and Eve. The floral motif of life is repeating in such paintings as "Miracle of Birth," "Amaryllis," "Love Confessions" and others.
Oil on Board
6 x 6 inches
The seashell and the butterfly are contradictory symbols, since the seashell symbolizes the sea and the butterfly symbolizes flight and the soul. The new compelled butterfly seashell therefore symbolizes the dream of flight over the Ocean of Life.
SPRING DELIGHTS
Oil on Board
14 x 11 inches
Spring Flowers of fruit trees flaring up as birds is the metaphor of celebration, spring and youth. In Ancient Rome, the victorious conquerer, the winner, whether in war or Olympic Games, was showered in flowers. This is also a conquest of the Spirit over stagnation and base instincts. Flared up flowers predict happy unions and favorable events.
SPRING DELIGHTS HAS ALSO BEEN RELEASED IN A LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 88!

ASCENT OF THE SPIRIT Giclee on Canvas 10.5 x 14 inches Edition Size 188 Symbolism of the work is quite transparent: The human ascending and reaching the ideal, and cognition of his spirit represented by walking up the stairs. The pages of the symbolic book are the stages of his spirit. The bird's feather and the flight of Icarus illustrate the idea of the flight of human mind and spirit. The idea of self-cognition comes also from Leonardo da Vinci's drawing, "Vitruvian Man." According to Leonardo's description, the drawing was created to determine the proportions of the human male body as it was depicted in the tractates of the antique architect Vitruvius. The drawing is often used as the symbol of the symmetry of the human body, and further on, the Universe. Later, in accordance to that method, the well-known architect Le Corbusier created his own scale of proportions, which influenced the aesthetics of 20th century architecture.
RAY OF HOPE Giclee on Canvas
9 x 12 inches
Edition Size 88
This work resembles the author's FAREWELL KISS but with a more dramatic context. Where FAREWELL KISS is a goodbye kiss with a pledge of future meetings, this new painting suggests it could really be the last. The beam on the faces of love brings hope for salvation, saying that love never dies. "Hope springs eternal" - we can say by looking at the work and recalling an ancient Greek myth of Pandora's box.

DIARY OF DISCOVERIES
Giclee on Canvas
24 x 42 inches
Edition Size 188
Plato thought the bird to be a metaphor of the human mind and spirit, due to its weightlessness, ability to fly and reach the sky. Reaching the sky was the divine symbol, and that is why in Christian tradition, the white dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
White is associated with the light of truth and revealation, and with joy and celebration.
The book is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom with the pages of the book, pages of human life; the maps we travel through, the pages written into history, the diary of human life.
The book evokes imagination to which there is no limit. The moment that imagination takes us from the usual everyday things to the distant spaces is the moment of discovery and truth, revealation. In the painting, this is the moment of turning the page into the bird. The line of transformation is the trajectory of the bird's flight.
