Matrix of Love
Oil on Canvas 56x 58 inches
This painting is, essentially, the story of human love, its passion and stability, its mutual enrichment, the long duration of love letters exchanged and shortness of the most precious moments we wish would last forever. It is the "Morning of Love" and the "Evening," the "Spring" and the "Autumn."
For the artist, each object is an expression of love in the mirror of metaphorical images. Alike Carl Linnaeus' classifying of species, there came a point in the artist's artistic life when certain classification became necessary.

One lonely evening, Aries left the stable and walked to the seashore. The magnificent sunset warmed Aries feelings, "The sun never teases. Maybe he will want to be my friend," Aries wondered. But as Aries watched, the sun dipped quickly behind the horizon. There seemed to be a hole in the sea that snatched it away.

Full House! Laguna Beach June Show The Key that Opens the Lock!
|
The Purse is a symbol of wealth and accumulation, but only love is the master key that opens the purse of happiness, paraphrasing the words of famous American writer, Oliver Wendell Holmes.
This symbolism corresponds to the color of the purse, Red, meaning love and passion, though purses are usually the color of the earth or gold. Red is also employed to emphasize the symbolism of luxury and wealth. In China, red is considered to be the color of happiness and good luck and is the color of the wedding attire.
The artist infuses into his image a certain irony: greed and excessive accumulation of wealth could lead to the separation of lovers.
