President's Message
Greetings fellow Realtors and Business Affiliates:
KWAOR is fully engaged this summer in a multitude of events and member benefits. We recently held our Summer fundraising event at Valley Country Club with a Funny 4 Funds comedy night. It was hilarious to say the least. Attendance was strong, the food and venue were fantastic, and we raised over $2,500 for The Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Warwick and South County Habitat for Humanity. Thank you to all of our sponsors and attendees for making a difference.

In June, the Community Outreach Committee worked on a Habitat for Humanity project in Exeter. A strong willed and able body crew went to work on the property. Lot’s of fun helping out a worthy cause. Thanks to all the crew!

The Education Committee has been delivering high quality programs throughout the year. Our next Lunch and Learn will be a panel discussion on "The Unscrupulous Realtor”. Mark your calendars to attend on August 7th. Certainly no one in our mix, but good to learn the signs and be on guard. Our programs are always sponsored by our Business Partners/Affiliate Members.

Another “Grape and Gripe” is scheduled for Thursday, July 25 th at Nautica in East Greenwich. Come join your fellow members and share the wine, wind, and view, as well as the good and the bad in Real Estate.
Realtor’s in Action: On July 27 th , realtors David Splaine of Remax Professionals, and yours truly, Mark McHugh, Clearmark Real Estate, will be participating in the Save The Bay Swim. A 1.7 mile swim across the bay from Newport to Jamestown. They’ve already raised over $4,000. Consider a donation as these Realtors work to help the local environment. Team Name Buttonwoods Beach

Lastly, we are looking for members for leadership positions at KWAOR. The Nominating Committee will be reviewing incoming applications soon. I urge all members to get involved. I can attest, it will benefit you and your career.
Thanks and enjoy the summer!
