President's Note

Dear Neighbors,

What a great Halloween we had this past Saturday night in the neighborhood! A HUGE thank you to those of you that hosted treat tables, the Ryan family for opening their home and hosting our parade after-party, DJ John Glander for keeping the Halloween energy going big-time, the Kentfield Fire Department for leading our parade, and to Carey Condy who did a tremendous amount of heavy lifting to organize everything. I can't thank her enough for keeping the community spirit (and spirits) going strong during Halloween in Kent Woodlands.

Up next is the KWPOA Holiday Party at Guesthouse! Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is the evening to kick off the season with your neighbors. Picture it: the lights glowing, a drink in hand, and the hill in one room. Catch up with longtime friends, welcome the families who've moved in this year, and toast everything that makes Kent Woodlands such a special place to call home.

We've arranged to have wines poured, signature cocktails served, and non-alcoholic sips available all evening, alongside a parade of hors d'oeuvres & desserts. Note that space is limited, and this party fills up every year. Reserve your spot early so you're in the room when the glasses go up.

The Details:

Sunday, December 6th, 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Guesthouse – Main dining area

Cost: $50 per person – General / $40 per person – Seniors 70 and older

Adults only

Keep an eye on your email for an invitation soon!

Cheers!

Jeff Leh, President

Construction Parking

Construction traffic and parking has become increasingly problematic in Kent Woodlands with our narrow and winding roads. In an effort to increase safety and decrease inconvenience to neighboring properties, the following condition has been added to the standard conditions of approval for all design review projects:

“Contractor and worker vehicle parking must be managed in a way that prevents disruption to neighboring properties, does not create a safety hazard for residents, and does not impede the safe ingress/egress of emergency vehicles. In order to minimize the number of vehicles parked on our narrow roads, contractors should encourage carpooling whenever possible; daily parking is available at all College of Marin lots for a nominal fee.”

In addition, all applications must now include a parking plan for the construction period that includes details about where worker vehicles, equipment staging, and material deliveries will safely park and circulate without blocking public streets or neighboring properties.

If you have any questions about these new requirements, please contact the Architectural Committee at AC@kwpoa.com.

Neighborhood Safety Community Committee

The Neighborhood Safety Community Committee is back! We're looking at ways to make our neighborhood safer, bring neighbors together, and create opportunities for families to get involved. Keep an eye out for a short survey seeking your ideas for improving walking, biking, and hiking safety on our roads, along with opportunities to pitch in on neighborhood projects like brush clearing and cleanup. PREPARING FOR EL NINO - TOWN HALL RECORDING

On October 19th, Supervisor Brian Colbert and emergency preparedness leaders hosted a community Town Hall focused on preparing for winter storms and understanding local weather risks. If you missed it, a recording is available on YouTube HERE.

Please direct any Architectural Committee inquiries to Kristin Tiernan at AC@kwpoa.com.
