Hi Neighbors,
Happy New Year!
Please join the KWPOA board and many of your neighbors for our Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, January 14th at 7:00pm either in person at our office (1010 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Suite 200) or via Zoom by using this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4157217429
Items on the agenda will include:
- Marin County Sheriff Neighborhood Update
- Wildfire Resilience Design Framework
- Marin Water Update
- Undergrounding Committee Update
- Q&A and Comments
I'd also like to take this opportunity to announce some changes to the Architectural Committee:
First, I'd like to thank Ann Becker, who served her final meeting on the committee last month. She had spent five years contributing a wealth of historical perspective as a long time Kent Woodlands resident, and I'd like to thank her for having been a staunch supporter of the unique characteristics that make our neighborhood so special. Her tireless commitment to the AC has not gone unnoticed by myself and my fellow board members.
Second, I'd like to thank Bruce Raabe, who is stepping down as Chair of the AC. He has instituted a number of processes and procedures which has made navigating the AC a far more straight-forward experience for applicants and will be memorialized for years to come. His fair and even-keeled approach have resulted in the resolution of many (albeit sometimes contentious) applications that have come before the AC. Volunteering amongst neighbors is not for the faint of heart.
Finally, I'd like to announce that Keith Kirley will become the AC's new Chair. Keith is a third-generation architect with a master’s degree in Classical Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. His firm, Kirley Architects, is well known for their work throughout Marin, SF, Lake Tahoe, and at the Mayacama Golf Club where he serves as the Design Review Architect. He's also a member of the Kentfield Planning and Advisory Board (KPAB) and the Vice President of the Northern California Chapter of the Institute for Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA). He lives in Kent Woodlands with his wife, children, and dog, and I've personally enjoyed getting to know him as a fellow neighbor.
Sincerely,
Jeff Leh, President
