President's Note

Hi Neighbors,

It was nice to see a number of you at our spring food truck event, especially a mix of folks that have called Kent Woodlands home for decades and those of you who just moved in with your young children.

Many of you have responded to the survey we recently sent out seeking community feedback as we prepare to update our CC&Rs and Bylaws. This is a heavy lift, and one that is long overdue. Rest assured we will overcommunicate the process and all members will be asked to vote to adopt the proposed revised governing documents when the time comes. Some of the questions in the survey asked for input on what the association’s top priorities should be, and touched on issues spanning short term rentals, pets, noise, parking, and more. I encourage you to grab a cup of coffee — or even something stronger given the topics at hand! — and fully participate in this feedback process. See below for instructions on how to access the survey.

Have a wonderful spring, and if you're inclined to attend our Monday, May 19th board meeting at 6:00pm via Zoom or in-person, our volunteer board members would appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Jeff Leh, President

Have you taken the CC&Rs Survey?

As previously announced, the KWPOA Governing Documents Revision Oversight Committee is seeking your input to help guide the process of updating of our 30-year-old CC&Rs. The survey will close on May 15th, so please don't delay! There are two ways to access the survey:

Online: https://forms.gle/PEmFQwY9PqAaYVT1A

Via mail: Contact us at info@kwpoa.com or 415-721-7429 to request a paper survey and return envelope by US Postal Service

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS IMPORTANT COMMUNITY EFFORT!

Marin County emergency officials will use the AlertMarin Emergency Notification System to provide residents with critical information and potentially life-saving instructions   in the event of a wildfire or any other situation that requires evacuation. An AlertMarin notification will provide timely, clear, and accurate instructions in the form of a call, text, or email.

Sign up today at

emergency.marincounty.gov/pages/alertmarin

Then consider these helpful tips to make sure their alerts get to you at any hour of the day or night (note that instructions may vary, depending on your device):

  • Create a contact for “Alert Marin”
  • Add the phone number that Alert Marin will call from (415-473-6376) to that contact
  • Add the mobile number that Alert Marin will text from (88911) to that contact
  • For this contact, change your ringtone and text tone sound to a unique tone that will get your attention and be sure to TURN ON THE “EMERGENCY BYPASS” FUNCTION.
