and I picked up a small group of customers from Maine, Rhode Island and New York in Vienna for my annual KWSelection buyer trip. We did the same a week earlier with customers from North Carolina and Virginia.
Our first stop took us to
Burgenland,
to the Hillinger winery in Jois.

Leo's sales manager took us on an incredible tour through
organic
wine growing, the cellar, a great wine tasting, and a wonderful traditional Austrian lunch.
Leo was unfortunately in South Africa but Peter and Paul showed us what makes the Hillinger winery so successful.
Leo surrounds himself with some exceptional people, especially Peter who showed us his enthusiasm with Burgenland and Blaufränkisch.
Peter started out with an explanation of modern
organic
vineyard management and showed off some of their machines. Very impressive............
