Come join Morah Ellie Gluck tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM for a Kabbalat Shabbat experience followed by a holiday-themed Oneg in the Social Hall!
What is Kabbalat Shabbat?
Kabbalat Shabbat is a ritual that was developed during the 16th century in Tzfat, Israel's center of Kabbalistic learning. Today, it has become a widely practiced tradition in Jewish communities all around the world. The joyful singing and recitation of Psalms 95-99, 29, 92 and 93, serves to build the energy of worship, culminating in the welcoming of the Shabbat Bride and leading into the Ma'ariv service.
