Kaiyote Tours Schedule and Update

Hello Fellow Travelers,

Travel Update: The pandemic is still making international travel a little complicated, but there are many countries open for travel. This winter, Kaiyote Tours will be traveling to the Colombian Andes and to Panama. If you are not ready for international travel, I will also be offering these trips in 2022 and 2023. Below you will find the schedule for future trips. My updated reservation and cancelation policy: Any deposits and payments made are no longer refundable, but if we need to cancel due to the pandemic, you will received a 100% credit for a future trip to any location.

If you are not ready for international travel, I have many domestic trips happening:

Coming up in early October I have several private tours by request. One is a birding tour of the Deep South (Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi). And in late October I have a birding, fall colors, and Civil War History tour (Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia).

What is on your bucket list? Any places in the United States or Canada that you would like to see?

On the table is a special requested Railroad and Birding Tour visiting significate locations along the route connecting the railroad across the Western United States. This tour will start in Denver, travel through Wyoming, Utah and Nevada, and end in California; covering about 1,500 miles across the west. This will be a great road trip, visiting many historical sites and birding locations. The dates will be late September 2022 and the trip will be about 2-weeks. Let me know if you are interested. This will be a camping trip, with only a few hotel stays, and I will be taking only 4-people.

I am also working to expand my Montana Tours to include many Lewis and Clark stops along the Missouri and Jefferson Rivers. I am calling it the Lewis and Clark Birding Trail. This tour is by requested dates. May through September is best. If you are interested in the Lewis and Clark Expedition, I also have several great Columbia River and Washington state tours, that follow the Lewis and Clark Trail to Cape Disappointed (which is not disappointing at all).

Since the Pandemic I have acquired commercial permits and permission to provide tours at many national parks, state parks, national wildlife refuges, and national forests. I have established tours in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Washington State. Let me know where you need a tour, and your specific interests. I am happy to provide a private birding, history, and/or culture tour for you.

This winter and spring (November through April), I will be in Colorado providing tours at both Rocky Mountain National Park and the Great Sand Dunes National Park for hiking, birding, backpacking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
