Perks of Volunteering

- Volunteers working a 3+ hour shift will be provided a complimentary ticket to the evening of their choice.

- Volunteers attending BrewLoops prior to their shifts will be reimbursed ticket cost at their shift, with used stub.

The Kamloops Sunrays are looking for coaches of all levels. 

The Kamloops Sunrays strive for excellence in the sport by providing opportunities to foster and promote Artistic Swimming through training and competitive opportunities for athletes and coaches of all levels. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated coaches to join our highly successful team.
 
Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Head Coach, coaches will be responsible for building technical skills following the Long Term Athlete Development plan, choreographing age specific routines, establishing measurable goals and supporting the growth of the entire club. Some travel is required for this position.
 
Qualifications:
  • NCCP Comp Intro and/or Comp Dev Certification or willingness to become certified
  • Successful completion of the Respect in Sport coach program
  • Successful completion of the Commit to Kids program
  • Experience in coaching Artistic Swimming and/or working with children
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
 
This is a part time, contract position. Contract term September 2019-June 2020.

We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSportâ„¢ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
 
KidSport Kamloops is a local chapter of KidSport Canada.  Funds raised locally are spent locally and are distributed as grants to cover registration and/or equipment fees associated with participation in a season of sport.
