Your Opinion Counts! Complete Our Brief PTSA Survey
(Corrected Survey Link)
A lot has changed in the last few months and still more is uncertain about the 2020-21 school year. Flexibility and adaptability will be necessary for sure, but the LWHS PTSA mission remains the same:  working for the health, welfare, safety, education, care and protection of children . We value your opinion as to what this means to you and how we can support our students and larger school community. We hope you will take a few minutes to fill out our survey to help guide our efforts.

Survey will close on June 19. Thanks in advance for your participation!
LWHS PTSA Needs You!
A Focus on Advocacy, Student Recognition, Communications & Parent Education

PTSA chairs and committees make things happen! We have many committees seeking members/chairs and would love to have you on our team! Here is a bit more information about a few of our available openings:

Advocacy The committee works to inform members about legislative issues; helps advocate for statewide PTA platform and facilitates opportunities for members to speak up when it matters most. Activities might include promoting local PTSA events in support of district and statewide initiatives and attending WSPTA Legislative Assembly and Focus Day.

Student Recognition –The committee works with ASB and administration on school wide student recognition programs (i.e. Rising Kang Award). Help with development of award and execution of any type of recognition given to recipients.

Communications Chair –Do you love social media and have a way with words? Like to know the scoop and spread the news? We are looking for someone to help support our larger communication efforts by focusing on our social media channels. Chair will work with board VP to ensure accuracy of content and coordination of information sharing.

Parent Education –Help bring programming to our community that benefits parents and students alike. Have a say in what and how we support each other. Activities might include live presentations, virtual movie showings or speakers, book clubs, small support groups or your ideas!

If any of these sound interesting to you or you want to learn about other opportunities, please email us  LWHS PTSA . We look forward to hearing from you!

Class of 2020 Senior Salute (July or August 2020)
A group of parents are meeting throughout June to plan a delayed Senior Salute for July or August 2020, under state health guidelines. If you would like to participate in these plans, please contact Anne Buck.

Pantry Packs appreciates the support of the community to help put shelf-stable food in the hands of LWSD children. You can help out in the following ways:

The Pantry Packs team misses seeing volunteers at events and is looking for new ways to hold events as restrictions ease.
